Personalization Options for the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle

Enhance the interior of the Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV WAV with a range of high-quality customization options. You can choose a durable vinyl floor for a sleek and practical finish. The side panels can be upgraded with stainless steel trim for added protection and a modern look. An integrated LED strip is available, which automatically lights up for improved visibility and ease of use.

To improve ramp operation, a gas spring can be added for smoother handling. Additionally, the ramp can be fully folded inward to lie flat, creating extra luggage space when no wheelchair is being transported.

Features

There are many features designed for maximum user-friendliness, like the belts  that can be attached to the wheelchair while it is still outside the Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV. An integrated safety feature prevents the wheelchair passenger from rolling backwards on the wheelchair ramp; only upward movement is possible. Super convenient!

B-Active Grand Tourneo PHEV

The B-Active Grand Tourneo PHEV is a more comfortable choice for the wheelchair passener, because the floor has s large flat area. This creates much more interior space, as the distance to the roof is great. The wheelchair space is also wide which will give a comfortable feeling.

B-Active Pop-up Ramp

The ultra-light taxi ramp pops up from its flat-folded position, allowing you to tilt it with minimal effort. This user-friendly design makes it easy for anyone to lift and operate the ramp—no strength required!

Configuration options

The original second row of seats remains intact in the Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV and can still be used when transporting a wheelchair passenger. This allows the vehicle to carry five able-bodied passengers and one wheelchair user comfortably.

Optionally, you can add one or two swivel seats in the third row, increasing the total capacity to up to seven passengers. When no wheelchair is present, the swivel seats can be folded down and used by other passengers.

Thanks to the B-Active kit, the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV becomes a versatile, multi-purpose vehicle that adapts to every situation.

The battery pack remains completely untouched during the B-Active conversion. This means that the vehicle’s original high-voltage system is not affected in any way, ensuring that the factory warranty on the hybrid system remains fully intact. A significant advantage for both converters and end users.

Installation for converters

To make the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV suitable for wheelchair accessibility, a section of the vehicle floor is precisely cut out. B-Style provides a cutting template to ensure that the opening is exactly the right size and position. The lowered floor section fits seamlessly into the vehicle, creating a lower entry point and more headroom and space for the wheelchair passenger.

Everything required for the conversion is included in the B-Active kit—such as the lightweight wheelchair ramp, safety belts, and all necessary fasteners and mounting materials.

Fully tested and approved

The B-Style B-Active conversion kit for the new Ford Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV has been fully tested and holds European Type Approval. This ensures that we can support our conversion partners by providing a second-stage Certificate of Conformity (COC).
